My wife and I were blessed with a son that year...And that was when I realized QUICKLY...My art practice had to change!
I love nature and work for a local natural area conservation non-profit. My son has started learning about animals and I've been wanting to make fun art that he would enjoy too. I've spent more time at botanical gardens and the zoo in the last year than I have my entire life! This collection is inspired directly from my life experiences and includes many photos from my personal photography. It expresses the feelings that I have when I am in nature, and explores the way in which everything is connected.
I'm not going to lie, I have a selfish reason for offering free prints too...

Like I mentioned, my background is in performance art and comedy -- where there's always a laugh and a nice round of applause at the end. Instant connection with your audience. ABOUT THE ARTIST
Keegan Shiner is a digital and traditional collage artist, painter, performance artist, writer and comedian living in Deerfield, IL. He combines the styles of pop-art and surrealism in his collage works to create environments that bring color, joy, and an experience to the viewer. His collages are created using elements from his personal photography, memories, inspiration, and improvisation. He hopes that the inspiration and fun he has creating these works is spread to all who view them. He attended Purdue University for his undergrad and has an MFA in Studio Art from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. He is an avid fan of indie art and indie comics, and hosts the podcast "Dumb Creators" (find it on Spotify!) He is a husband and proud father of a rambunctious 2 year old! He is also the Executive Director of Ancient Oaks Foundation and loves exploring the outside world.
